About Singapore's tax system

Singapore uses a progressive 0% to 24% schedule for residents, with no capital-gains or dividend tax. CPF contributions (employee share up to 20%) are mandatory for Singaporeans and PRs. Non-residents pay 15% or resident rates, whichever is higher.

  • Residents must have stayed ≥183 days in the calendar year.
  • CPF caps at SGD 7,400 monthly ordinary wages.
